Sizing

  • The X30 Proximity Firefighting Suit is available in sizes Medium, Large, and X-Large.
  • Small, 2XL, and custom sizes are available for an additional charge.

Weight

  • The total weight of the jacket and pants is approximately 9 lbs (4.1 kg).
  • The total weight of the entire ensemble (jacket, pants, hood, gloves, and boots) is approximately 17 lbs (7.8 kg).

    The engineers at Newtex designed the X30 Attack™ Proximity Fire Fighting Suit from the ground up to meet the EN 1486 standard for close proximity firefighting gear.

    The Z-Flex® Aluminized Fabric outer shell reflects 95% of radiant heat and withstands radiant temperatures up to 3000°F (1650°C). In addition to providing outstanding protection, Z-Flex is also the most durable aluminized material available and will not delaminate under even the most demanding conditions. This cutting-edge fire suit also incorporates the latest technology from Stedfast and Tencate with a Stedair® moisture barrier and an Aralite® thermal barrier. All X Series suits are designed to be worn over standard industrial work wear. It is important for users to wear long-sleeve shirts and pants made with non-flammable fibers.

    This suit can be used in a wide range of industries and applications including aircraft rescue firefighting (ARFF), first response to oil and gas fires, and other proximity firefighting scenarios

    Jacket

    • Raglan sleeves for flexibility
    • Zipper closure with velcro storm fly
    • Cinch at waist for athletic contour fit
    • Integrated breathing apparatus pouch to accommodate SCBA
    • SCBA Pouch measures 29" (74 cm) in length and has a 9" (23 cm) inner diameter
    • Optional: Pockets with flap closure

    Pants

    • Sewn-in suspenders
    • Adjustable straps on the cuffs of the pants
    • Optional: Knee reinforcements for increased durability

    Hood

    • Dome style hood
    • Hard cap with ratchet adjustment*
    • Full shoulder length drape with elasticized underarm straps
    • Rounded bib for improved range of motion
    • Multi-layer lens for protection from extreme heat
    • Designed for use with low profile SCBA only

    Gloves

    • Leather palm and thumb for grip
    • Elastic inner cuff for a tight seal
