Shell Materials: Glove thumb, upper back, palm and index finger (trigger finger) arc Shelby Black Koala® split cowhide, 3.50 oz. weight. Lower back and fingers are 4.0 oz. Grain Elk hide.
Shell Features: Reflective accents, logo and Shelby/Crosstech® labels for better visibility. Elk & Cowhide leather hinged back relays fit & Flex.
Thermal Spacer: Shelby Thermal Protection Zones (TPZ). Added thermal protection layers extends down fingers and thumb back.
Thermal Liner: Tech Fleece 6.0 oz./yd., 185 g/m Kevlar & lensing nonwoven fleece with 8.0 grams web adhesive laminated to back of fabric. Palm is Shelby Direct Grip® fabric.
Protective Barrier: Gore Crosstech® Film Technology Insert laminated to the thermal lining. This one-piece system shall mirror the outer shell. Liner and barrier system is individually graded and produced in as many sizes as glove sizes.
Protective Barrier Features: All Fingers & thumb (topside) have attachment tabs for permanent liner/barrier attachment. Additional thermal protection layers are on fingers and thumb backs.
Wristlet: Nomex® 10.5 oz. per yard, Double ply, 3" length. Wristlet is sewn to liner & barrier system & again sewn separately to the leather shell. Model 5283 is a gauntlet style and does not have a wristlet.
Donning Pull: 5281 only. Black cowhide 3" x 3 ½" Round Leather Pull, sewn to wristlet and glove body.
Thread: Kevlar® (30/6) lock stitch, 9 stitches per inch.
Hanger Loop: ¼" fire retardant leather
Label: Label shall be permanently attached to each glove & certifies the glove meets or exceeds the requirements of the latest edition of the NFPA 1971 standard.

Design & Construction: Pre-curved two-dimensional glove consisting of wrap around trigger finger. Glove has lining and barrier system that mirrors the outer shell. Lining and barrier system is sewn to the outer shell at tabs on at fingers and thumb (topside) ends. Glove palm lining improves grip strength and reduces hand fatigue during extended use. Reflective safety enhancement for better visibility. The glove body shall extend 2" above the wrist crease.
